Costa Teguise Resort Information
Costa Teguise started life back in 1970 when tourism first really began in Lanzarote. Unlike the other resorts which all started out as a fishing village, Costa Teguise was built for the sole purpose to be a top tourist destination in Lanzarote.
From when Costa Teguise was built the resort has always been improved and cleaned up, this continues all year round in a effort to keep the area clean and tide for the all important visitors to Costa teguise.
The resort is located around 20 minutes drive from the airport (20-25€ in a Taxi) and is located closer to the northern part of Lanzarote. Because the resort is located quite north you are close to many of the top attractions such as Jameos Del Agua and Cueva de los Verdes.
The weather like the rest of the Island is very good all year round. Costa Teguise is known to be quite windy compared to the likes of Puerto del Carmen (you will be thankful in the summer) which makes the resort ideal for many different water sporting activities. Amongst the beaches you will find many wind surfers, surfers and some good location to fly kites.
They are many bars, restaurants and shops for you to choose from in costa teguise although they can be spread out. The area is also very flat which makes this the ideal location if you have a wheel chair with you.
All in all Costa Teguise can offer it all, from quiet relaxing holidays to the more adventurous holidays where surfing and windsurfing is included. With the resort being quite flat it also makes this a very good destination for families.
